My name is Stefano Galati aka BLKMADIA. I am a tattoo artist of Italian origins and I have been tattooing for about 12 years, my path within the world of tattooing has always been very linear as I have immediately researched and studied a unique and personal style that varies from graphics to black and gray realism, a very strong and impactful compositional mix, often in dark shades that make up my works on skin with a different and unexpected language. Within my personal and educational path, the “trash polka” style has undoubtedly been present and fundamental, a “free” style composed of many styles that has allowed me to delve into and manage different techniques and conceive an optimal composition that develops the client's idea with my creative process in the desired area of ​​the body.

I define my style and my way of conceiving the tattoo as “dargk graphic”, I really like to experiment by creating many mixes between old photos that I work on by contrasting their tones a lot and superimposing them with graphic cuts similar to tears or adding empty spaces and graphics in dark shades or painting effects with the help of real “stains” sketches or brush strokes of my own creation. This vision of the tattoo and the development of my ideas has led me to reach over time a clientele both local and foreign giving me the opportunity to travel a lot and to bring my style around the world.
A fundamental part of my journey have been the numerous guests and conventions where I have had the opportunity to see, meet and compare myself with other internationally renowned tattoo artists, giving me the opportunity to increase my work, my knowledge, my passion and my ethics towards this profession that has also led me to win numerous international awards in the most prestigious events in the sector. In addition to my work on my tattoos, I also carry out numerous collaborations with my partner, who is also an internationally renowned tattoo artist, where by merging our styles we create unique and recognizable large-scale works with a single visual language. In recent years, my travels have led me to settle as a guest resident in some of the most renowned studios in numerous American cities, in Europe and in Italy where my studio is located where I work during certain periods of the year.
